Hip movement should be merely a side effect of ergonomic weight transfer between slightly bent legs (as described under your other question), which naturally causes changes in relative positions of hip joints/hip action.
You shouldn’t be focused on pushing the hips out for the sake of it, nor on drawing huge 8s with your pelvis, at least not as a base technique salsa is built upon. Leave that for intentional styling and shines.
Perhaps this? Otherwise, it is based on being grounded and movement from your core to weightshifting. Don’t focus on just moving your hip or it will look artificial
The hips should move as a function of your legs rotating between bent and straight and NOT as a function of you trying to move them.
